On 15 August 2026, Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics completed 51 bariatric surgeries in a single day as part of Surgical Swaraj, an Independence Day surgical mission led by Dr. Mohit Bhandari.
Performed using the SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System, the programme brought together coordinated surgical, anaesthesia, nursing and support teams across multiple operating rooms.
Beyond the number, Surgical Swaraj reflected the planning, clinical evaluation, robotic technology, multidisciplinary teamwork and structured follow-up required to deliver bariatric care at scale.
A dedicated post-surgery patient interaction session was also organised, where Dr. Mohit Bhandari reviewed recovery progress and interacted with participating patients.
